“Should I buy OnePlus Two?” Please read on.

- Design and Looks
The OnePlus 2 comes with a 5.5 inches display, registering itself as a Note. It has an Aluminium-Magnesium body and manages to weigh at about 175 grams. As the company claims, their new flagship smartphone comes with an impressive display quality and it can offer premium view-ability even under direct sunlight.
The Full-HD display of the resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels has a pixel density 401 ppi. The display comes with Corning® Gorilla Glass protection, making it ultimately scratch resistant.
Covers and Color options for OnePlus Two:
The device comes in Sandstone Black color. However, the OnePlus 2 looks can be customized as your style statement as it comes with four good cover options, these are Bamboo (wooden), Black Apricot, Rosewood and Kevlar.
- Powerful Hardware, Connectivity and Battery
First things first, OnePlus’s new flagship is packed with the latest, fastest and most powerful Qualcomm MSM8994 SnapDragon 810 processor chipset and Adreno 405 GPU. It is also the first smartphone to come with Type-C reversible connector/charging port which comforts the charging as well as provides faster data transfer rate.
OnePlus Two is a dual Nano SIM, dual stand-by smartphone with connectivity options for 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks on both the SIM slots. It supports a wide range of LTE bands namely 1/2/4/5/7/8/12/17, respectively.
However the fastest and powerful, the latest processor from SnapDragon was getting complains of heating. But OnePlus Two is not a phone to worry about, the company states “Cooler than Ever” and has given a detailed statement on how OnePlus Two does not heat up beyond the limits.
Below is the statement,
“We worked very closely with Qualcomm’s engineers to integrate an improved version of chipset in the OnePlus 2 and fine-tuned both hardware and software. The two (OnePlus 2) will be cooler than ever”.
OnePlus 2 is coming in two different variants: a 64GB ROM + 4GB RAM version and a 16GB ROM + 3GB RAM, respectively. Memory expansion through external memory card is not available. OTG is supported.
Needless to say, the overall gaming performance of the phone is going to be very smooth and impressive even in most high-end games.
It’s official Antutu score is around 58K, even when it has not got the clock speeds of 2.0 and more like its alternatives.
OnePlus Two gets the power from a 3300 mAh Non-removable (Li-polymer) battery that may last one full day in moderate usages.
Sensors included are Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope and Proximity.
The flagship device comes with a 13-megapixel real camera with dual LED flash supporting 4K resolution, and a 5-megapixel camera on the front to take detailed selfies at 1080p.
The 13-mp camera has six lenses to cover impressive photos. “…Like you have never seen before”, as the company claims for the camera on OnePlus two. The camera can be your low-light photography mate for sure.
- Fingerprint Scanner
What can be a better security option than having your own finger prints as your smartphone’s password? The flagship device has fingerprint scanner located at the middle button of the three navigation keys at front. Again, the company claims that the phone can be unlocked within less than second using the fingerprint scanner, that also makes a true, feature-rich and fast flagship phone.
- OxygenOS, the Customized OS
If you prefer a slightly customized operating system interface over the stock Android interface, Oxygen OS can be a good option. While there are great Custom OS options like Cyanogen Mod OS and Xiaomi’s MIUI, the OxygenUI offers pretty customized quick settings, a built-in File Manager app and gesture controls.
On the top of Android Lollipop, Google’s latest OS available in the market, Oxygen OS comes with a variety of off-screen gesture controls that can be used to unlock the device as well as to launch apps directly, without having to wake the screen. Guess what, making a big ‘C’ on off-screen and Camera app launching by itself? It is cool to do.
- Low Radiation smartphone
The OnePlus Two comes with low radiation benefits as its SAR values are 0.43 W/kg on head and 0.20 W/kg on body, respectively.
Maximum allowed SAR limit in India is 1.6.
- OnePlus Two Price (In INR/India Rupees)
Released on 11th August, 2015, the devices OnePlus Two (16GB ROM + 3GB RAM) and OnePlus Two (64GB ROM + 4 GB RAM) are priced for 18K and 21K, respectively. While we cannot call it a budget smartphone, it is really a best buy and 'value for money' high end smartphone in the market.
